Daytona 500
The Daytona 500 kicks off the NASCAR season each year and is regarded as one of the most important and prestigious races of the season. Known as “The Great American Race” and the “Super Bowl of Stock Cars,” the celebration continues at the 51st running in February 2009.
It’s come a long way since the short, 200 mile races that were held on Daytona Beach itself back in the 1950s. Daytona International Speedway, with a 168,000 capacity, is one of the grand old tracks of the sport.
This is the race that concludes Speedweeks, two weeks of competition and events that many have turned into a yearly pilgrimage. Your Experience includes tickets to the Busch Series 300, one of the weekend’s other big races, along with admission to Daytona USA Interactive Racing Fan Fest.
You’ll spend three nights at the luxurious Orlando Marriott downtown, one of central Florida’s premier accommodations, with 24-hour fitness center and cardio theater, heated pool and jacuzzi. The Marriott is convenient to numerous businesses, and just steps from premier shopping, restaurants, entertainment, and nightlife.
$250 Visa gift cards for both you and your companion are part of your Experience, along with tickets to the Busch 300 and the Daytona 500, transportation to and from the race and roundtrip airfare between Orlando and your home city.
